Special Message for the Falcons, from a Falcon:
"I know the guys have a big weekend and I just wanted to wish them luck. They have made all of us former West Side Falcons very proud! I am sure that they have worked their tails off so far and I am sure that they invested a lot of hard work, sweat, and time into this season.
They have made a huge investment and it's in big games like these when its time to get their money back. Its Payday!!!
"The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender"...Vince Lombardi
I live by those words and so far they haven't steered me wrong. Play Hard, Play Fast, Play For Each Other and Have Fun!! Go Falcons!!"
~ Hubie Graham ~
Former Falcon, #83, University or Illinois Fighting Illini

Our friends from across the Pond have not forgotten us...!!!!!
Though they are currently in first place, and have a huge match Saturday against their arch rivals, Cardiff (TTDS - That Team Down South...it's like Voldemort....never say that name in Pontypridd ;-)), some of the guys from Pontypridd Rugby Football Club have sent a message to their favorite U.S.A. football players. Heck, we even got a Welsh cop sending us best wishes too!!!!
"Just a little message to the West Side Falcons. Hi guys. My name is Kris Baller. I'm from south Wales in the UK and also play rugby for PONTYPRIDD which I'm sure by now u all know only too well from ur coach Bert, who is one of our biggest supporters!!!! Every week Bert drops us all messages saying good luck, etc. for the upcoming game, which goes something along the lines of "good luck bro, play hard, kick some butt" haha!!!
For all the support we have all had off Bert, it's time to return the favor, and write a message back with some words of encouragement for you guys for your upcoming NAJFL Super Bowl game!!!
I'm not really good at things like this, because I'm used to my coach doing it, and getting me up for a big game, etc!!!! Anyway, I'm sure all u guys are ready and raring to go for this game. Things like this may never come around again guys, so take the opportunity to embrace it all, the game day build up, etc. You will all be nervous, which is only natural. I get nervous every game, but you've gotta think it's just another game that your gonna kick some butt!! I'm sure you all want to win this big game for your coaches who put in all the hard work, for your parents and family, who I'm sure take u guys practice, games, etc., so there's another incentive to win this sucker!! I know you guys had a bad tragedy a while back...you lost 1 of your brothers, #55, Taevon "Tater" Miles"...."FINGERS", to your coaches, coz he always tackled and brought some1 down with fingers or even 1!!! When you guys are warming up or getting dressed, just take a moment out and think of "TATER" coz I'm sure he'll be looking down on you guys shouting and screaming his little butt off for u to win. There's no doubt he is!!!
All I gotta say is when you guys take to the gridiron, you play hard, kick some butt, and remember the guys on your team are your brothers. And I'm sure u will do anything for each other, like we do at Pontypridd. We bleed for each other, we get the crap kicked out if us and we put our bodies on the line for each other. I know when I play, 1 of my teammates would rather take a beating for me, as he know I would do the same for him!!! But most important, we get back up and we kick the holy crap out of the other team, and twice as hard!!!
Anyway guys, I hope this message inspires you and and you win the Superbowl!!! Always remember, you're the only ones that can do it on the day and also do it for #55, "TATER", coz he'll be with u!!
And last but not least, as the Falcons saying goes, hunt hard, kill quickly, waste nothing, offer no apologies and bleed purple!!!!!!!! Go West Side Falcons!!!!! Ole' ole' ole'" Best regards Kris Baller

And we can't forget about "The Captain"!!!:
(This message also appears on TalonTalk)
"Just a quick message wishing you guys all the best this Sunday in your game v Abington North Junior Comets. I'm sure you boys wont need any encouragement and will do your utmost to win. I guarantee you...if you put the hard work in during training, the results will follow, "The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights"...Muhammad Ali.
I will be looking out for the result, once again good luck!"
Nathan Strong Pontypridd RFC (Captain)
(Editors note: I'm sure Lackawanna Trail and Carbondale would complain about these conditions too! hahaha!)
And Mr. Williams... Hi guys. Just wanted to say good luck for the big game! I've experienced first hand how much football means to you guys in the states. It's how we feel about rugby. So I know how nervous you all will be. Just remember it's still only you against another team, just like any other weekend. So go out there and do your friends and family proud! Best of luck!
Owen Williams Pontypridd RFC

And last, but not least.....The Welsh Police also support the Falcons....
A big hello to everyone at the Falcons......both players, coaches & supporters.
I currently live in Newport, South Wales, U.K....however I have been a good on-line buddy with Coach Bert James, for years. He keeps me up to date with all things Scranton...in particular football and softball....and in return I keep him up to date with Welsh rugby.
From looking at your record this year, I'm not sure if you need encouragement !!
I'm a massive supporter for all sports and in particular youth sport. From all the info given to me from Coach Bert, I'm sure you guys can go out on the field, give 100% and make your parents and your coaches proud. But so better than that, with another "W" on your record....you can make yourselves proud!!
Team sport is all about working together and enjoying yourselves.....but a WIN makes that enjoyment so much better. Everyone loves a winner !!
Now I will be keeping in contact with Bert......and will be looking at your website with great excitement. You have a whole group of Welsh supporters who can't wait to see the result.
Hope everyone plays to their potential. Have a great game, and give everything!
Cheers, Constable Leighton Edwards, Gwent Police
