The West Side Falcons are based in the 'west side' section of Scranton, Pennsylvania. We have been in existence for over 40 years! We are currently members of the Northern Area Junior Football League (NAJFL), consisting of 13 Football Teams/Cheerleading Squads from Northeast Pennsylvania.
The goal of the West Side Falcons Youth Organization is to assemble the youth of our community into amateur football teams and cheerleading squads, providing our best efforts in nurturing sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication and respect. We do this through teaching the fundamentals of the sports and encouraging values that build their character and improve their physical well being, and self respect.

The NAJFL restricts Falcon participation to those who reside in the Scranton School District. This means that ALL children in West, North, Central, East and South Scranton can participate in the West Side Falcons Youth Organization!
There are 3 teams, for both football players and cheerleaders: 'A', 'B', and 'C'. Additionally, the 'C' team is broken down further, establishing a 'D' squad, for both football and cheerleading. 'D' Squad football players, however, remain members of the 'C' Team
Eligibilty guidelines are as follows:
FOOTBALL PLAYERS
WEIGHT CHANGES FOR THE 2009 SEASON, TO QUALIFY FOR GAME PLAY!!!!
C TEAM:
Minimum: at least 6 years of age on May 1st
Maximum: no older than 9 years of age on May 1st
Weight: cannot exceed 105 lbs. Week 1; 105 lbs. Week 2; 108 lbs. Week 3; 110 Week 4
B TEAM:
Minimum: at least 10 years of age on May 1st
Maximum: No older than 11 years of age on May 1st
Weight: cannot exceed 1-130 lbs. Week 1; 130 lbs. Week 2; 133 lbs. Week 3; 135 lbs. Week 4
A TEAM:
Minimum: at least 12 years of age on May 1st
Maximum: No older than 13 years of age on February 1st
Weight cannot exceed 150 lbs. Week 1; 150 lbs. Week 2; , 153 lbs. Week 3; 155 lbs. Week 4
Weights remain the same after week 4.

PLEASE DO NOT BE OVERLY CONCERNED IF YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER IS OVERWEIGHT. THE PHYSICAL CONDITIONING AT OUR PRACTICES, COMBINED WITH PROPER NUTRITION, WILL HELP HIM/HER ATTAIN A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE ! WE ARE PROUD OF ALL OUR KIDS, NO MATTER WHAT SIZE PACKAGE THEY COME IN!!!!!

Must be born on or between September 1st, 2001 & August 31st, 2003
C TEAM:
Must be born on or between September 1,st 1998 & August 31st, 2001
B TEAM:
Must be born on or between September 1st, 1996 & August 31st, 1998
A TEAM:
Must be born on or between September 1st, 1993 & August 31st, 1996
and cannot be entering Freshman year or greater this Fall.
